MODULE FIVE
When you separate or divorce, it is important to divide your finances so that you can live indendantly of each other. There are two different processes, depending on whether you are married or not.
Module Four explains the processes for both. There are a lot of misconceptions about the court resolving the financial situation, and many urban myths which influence peoples views, but the court do try to be fair. This is obviously swayed by the finances and how they came about, property, debts, etc, but it is reasonably easy to get a sense of where things will end up at the end of the court route.
Any Solicitor being used by the other side will argue that black is white if it helps their client, so you need to be able to assess the strengths and weaknesses of your clients case and be ready to support them properly.
At the end of this module, you will complete an assessment. When you have completed this, you will be able to access the next module.
The assessment is designed to ensure that you are ready to progress to the next module. If you struggle with any aspect of the course, please ask me for help. If your assessment is below the required level, I will support your learning to fill in any gaps in your knowledge.
What is covered?
This module leads you through making your applicaton to the final hearing. Most cases settle at the second hearing and the paperwork and process if different to the children applications.
