Having made your application, CAFCASS will always contact you to discuss the case. The application only has one side of the story and the court may be faced with a very distortyed view of reality

The aim of the Safeguarding Interview is to get both sides of the story, however far apart they may be, and report those facts to the court. There is no judgment taken, it simply recounts what they have been told.

It is important that you mention the things that you need to say, but within limits which are explained in the guide.

This stage is one part in the process, and it is important to that what you say is what will help you, as this Safeguardig Letter will be in front of the Judge at the first hearing, and in front of the Judge in the final hearing.
