MY HARD LESSON REPRESENTING MYSELF — AND THE SOLUTION I WISH I HAD SOONER
When you go it alone in court, mistakes can cost you more than money—they can cost you time, progress, and peace of mind. I learned that the hard way.
I represented myself at the start of my Children case in 2001 because I didn’t want to throw away thousands on a solicitor. But at my very first hearing, I got a crash course in how the system really works—and just how unprepared I was.
That lesson stuck with me.
As my case progressed, I faced one challenge after another. I made mistakes. I learned. And eventually, I began helping others avoid the same pitfalls I fell into.
In 2010, I was Called to the Bar and became a Barrister.
Now? I dedicate all my time to helping people like you handle Family Law issues—Divorce, Children, Finances, and Domestic Abuse—clearly, confidently, and affordably.
Here’s What I Tell Everyone:
You don’t need to spend thousands on a solicitor.
Most areasof Family Law can be done yourself—with the right guidance. Divorce, in particular, is a simple process if you follow the correct steps.
That’s why we created our Step-by-Step Divorce Guide—so you can do it right, without the stress, without the expense, and without the guesswork.

What makes this course so different?
Having been a Lawyer and dealt with thousands of different types of cases, I wanted to download everything in my head onto a computer chip and allow anybody that needs help to download it and get a replica of my twenty fours years experience. Creating this course is the closest thing to that.
Why do I need this?
This is an online course designed to deliver my step by step process to apply for and complete your Divorce application. It upsets me to see so many people sepnding their hard earned money on Solicitors at such exorbitant costs. When the process is straightforward, how can anybody justify the high costs Solicitors charge? Our step by step guide will empower you to do the same job as the Solicitor for a fraction of the cost. It will leave you feeling confident and ready to make progress
When you have completed this course you will be able to use the sample and template provided to confidently complete your application, and get the Divorce you want and move on with your life again.
Just imagine how much time, money, energy and heartache that you will save by taking this step.
What difference will this make for me?
A Divorce is a Divorce. Your marriage will be ended. Whether you do it yourself for £100, or pay a Solicitor upwards of £500, it is the same thing. You wouldn't go and buy something else for five times the cost so why waste money on getting rid of something that you don't want anymore.
Whether you want the Divorce or your Husband/Wife wants it, if the marriage is not working for one of you the court will grant it. By all means do all you can to save your marriage but if it is irrepearable, dont spend over the odds on finishing it.
