STATEMENTS

As the court progresses through your application it will reach a point where it has all of the information it requires, but before it can actually force a decision on both parties, it will try to get you both to agree.

If that does not happen the court will order you both to provide a Statement and return for a final hearing.

The Final Hearing is your opportunity to state your case and be listened to. Your statement is in effect you speaking and explaining the situation, what you want and why you want it. It will also include your evidence, photographs, recordings or text messages etc. The Statement is crucial to your case.

This Masterclass explains how to write a Statement and how to get it right.
