In a Final Hearing or a Fact Finding hearing the court needs to know the truth so that they can make sensible decisions in the case. Both parties will present their arguments using evidence which will prove their version of events and then you will be excpected to uncover the truth by challenging them with questions.

Cross Examination is the art of using series of questions to undermine your opponent to get to your version of the truth. They will do the same to you.
